Biography :  

Dr Satish Kumar is Professor of Biochemistry and DC, Bioinformatics Centre at MGIMS, Sevagram. He is serving on panel of UG, PG and PhD supervisor/examiner in several universities. Presently he is a member, Board of Studies in Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics and Chairman on several committees in MUHS, Nashik; Scientific Advisory Committee, ICMR- NIC National Database on Indian Medical Journals; Faculty of Medicine, IMS, BHU, Varanasi; Executive Member, BIC, Raipur. He is pursuing research in immunological & insilico studies on MTB and HPV in collaboration with TMC-ACTREC, Mumbai; NCCS, Pune; OUAT, Odisha; AIIMS, Raipur as Principal/Co-Investigator on several research projects funded by DBT, CSIR, UGC, ICMR, MUHS.  He has a patent and 70 research publications & databases to his credit. His Research interest: he involved in different facets of research related to structural & functional characterization of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) & Human Papillomavirus (HPV) in collaboration with different national Institutes. Few prime areas are in silico drug designing by employing protein structure prediction & validation, virtual screening, molecular docking etc; Identification of natural inhibitors for HPV; Development of databases on proteome comparison of different MTB strains, online Proteome Reserve for HPV, emerging infectious diseases etc
